ENGINEERING VIEW

Where This Fabric Fits

Choose a wider roll when panel coverage and seam reduction matter. Width alone does not guarantee higher shielding; continuity at joints, bonding and penetrations still controls finished-system performance.

Typical applications to evaluate

Large enclosure liners
Shielding curtains and panels
Wide laminated assemblies
Projects designed to reduce seam count

Important: Application examples are selection guidance, not a guarantee of finished-system performance. Validate the complete construction at the relevant frequencies.

HOW TO READ THE DATA

Design Notes

Shielding effectiveness values are material-level specifications unless a specific test method and sample construction are stated. Finished-product performance can be lower because of seams, openings, penetrations and bonding.
For regulated or compliance-critical projects, confirm the exact material lot, test method and finished-assembly requirement before approval.

For a practical explanation of dB values, frequency dependence, seams and grounding/contact design, see the OneThinktec Shielding Knowledge Center.

SELECTION FIT

When to Evaluate X00783

Good starting point when

Large panels, curtains, liners or converted parts where a wider roll may reduce the number of seams or joins.

Compare another construction when

A standard-width grade may be simpler when the part is narrow, cutting yield is more important than seam reduction, or the converting equipment has a smaller working width.

Selection rule: Confirm the exact frequency target, installation method, width, finish and environmental requirement before final approval. Catalog material data does not replace finished-assembly validation.

BUYER FAQ

Questions Engineers Commonly Ask

What is this material best used for?

Large enclosure liners, shielding curtains and panels, and related shielding assemblies where a flexible conductive textile is appropriate.

Does the fabric alone determine finished shielding performance?

No. Seams, openings, closures, bonding, grounding/contact design, penetrations and the complete enclosure construction can materially affect the final result.

What information should I provide for material selection?

Share the target frequency band, shielding requirement, required width, installation or conversion method, environmental conditions, quantity and any adhesive or surface-finish requirement.

Can I request samples or custom conversion?

Yes. OneThinktec supports sample evaluation and can discuss width, finish, adhesive backing and conversion requirements based on the project.
